Getting Started

1. Set up a supported Bitcoin wallet

Dark City is based on Bitcoin and the Ordinals technology. We currently offer support for the Unisat browser wallet only.

To get started, download and install the Unisat wallet in your Chrome browser.

After downloading, create your wallet and make sure it is using the Native Segwit protocol. If you already have it installed and are using another type of wallet, create a new one.

2. Log in Dark City

Using the same browser on which you installed the Bitcoin wallet, access the Dark.City website and enter the following command in the terminal:

login

You will then be prompted to connect your Unisat wallet to the website and sign a message confirming you want to join the game.

3. Register your account

Now that you are logged in, register your account so you can start.

To register your account, enter the command (case sensitive) register --name <YOUR CHARACTER NAME> in the terminal, for example:

register --name John Doe

Please keep in mind that you won’t be able to change your character’s name later. So think wisely before registering it!

That’s it – now your profile is activated and ready to go.
