Bioscanners

This is a comprehensive list of the bioscanners available in Dark City.

To gain access to the encrypted network hosting Dark City, a player must first acquire a Biometric Scan from the Dark Market. Using the bioscan in their wallet, players can gain access by logging into the Dnet.

The required amount varies depending on the rarity of the bioscan, which can provide extra bonuses of different kinds (more physical capacity, difficulty reduction in performing specific actions and so on).

A bioscan is required to perform in-game actions and a game account is only active when a scan is assigned to it. Scans can be swapped by the same identity account, as well as be negotiated freely between players.

Biometric Scanner

Description: The first Biometric Scanner created by the Butterfly Corporation to control access to the first iterations of Paradise Computer, still in alpha at that time

Burner Scan

Description: Crafted during Paradise Computers alpha phase by Butterfly Corp, the Burner Scan works as a normal bioscan. A compact key to the past, guiding users through the origins of Paradise Computers digital genesis. After 15 days, Dnet users need a standard bioscan for continued exploration.

ShadowCloak Obfuscation Router 1.0.0 (SCOR)

Description: This Biometric Scan is a masterpiece assembled by the Moon Runners. The SCOR redirects encrypted connections through the Paradise Computer network.

Synaptic Amplification Scan (SAS)

Description: This Biometric Scan of Unknown design, provides its user with enhanced input cooperativity for aggressive penetration into remote networks.
