SUMMARY

1. Dark City is introducing the Darklist Pass as a free-mint. 

2. Holders of Darklist Passes are entitled to early access to the $DRK token claim, allowing them to access discounts of up to 50%, as well as eligibility for future loot drops.

3. OGs and gang members are automatically granted a Darklist Pass, which can be redeemed for a free-mint by typing 'darklist' in the Dark City terminal after logging in. Additionally, they will receive early access to Phase 1 of the $DRK token claim.

4. An additional 1000 Darklist Passes are available to be minted; 800 being allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and the remaining 200 distributed through partnered collaboration managers.

Introduction to $DRK

The Dark City metaverse uses $DRK as its native token for in-game functionality. You can find more information about the tokenomics here.

$DRK Token Claim

The initial distribution of $DRK will occur through a Bitcoin (BTC) claim across three phases. The quantity of $DRK available in each phase is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Note: The token claim date will be announced soon.

Phase 1

90,000 $DRK available

50% discount

Requirements: Darklist Pass

Phase 2

135,000 $DRK available

25% discount

Requirements: Darklist Pass

Public Claim

225,000 DRK available

No discount

Requirements: None, open to the public

Priority Access

OGs and Gang Members are eligible for priority access to the token claim. OGs can access Phase 1 of the token claim 1 hour before general Darklist Pass holders, while Gang Members can access it 30 minutes ahead of general Darklist Pass holders.

After the allocated amount of $DRK for each phase is exhausted, the next phase will be triggered. Failure to participate before the completion of each phase results in forfeiture of access to the respective discount.

The Darklist Pass

The Darklist Pass provides an opportunity to secure an early discount on $DRK token as well as eligibility for future loot drops featuring rare in-game items.

Humans can acquire a Dark List Pass as a free-mint with the same wallet used for game registration.

Who can mint a Darklist Pass?

1. OGs and Gang Members, are automatically granted a Darklist Pass, which can be redeemed as a free-mint by typing ‘darklist‘ in the Dark City terminal after logging in. 

NOTE: OGs and Gang Members have 48 hours to mint the pass, not doing so in this timeframe automatically forfeits the right to do so. Non-minted passes will be auctioned off or given away at the team’s discretion.

2. Lone Wolves, or humans not affiliated with a gang, can access the public Darklist Pass free-mint by following the instructions below. Limit: 800

3. Lone Wolves, can also acquire a Darklist Pass through partnered collaboration managers. Limit: 200

Instructions for free-minting Darklist Passes

OGs and Gang Members

  • Step 1: Log in to Dark City and enter the command darklist in the terminal
  • Step 2: Follow the instructions in your wallet to mint on-chain and cover network fees 
  • Step 3: Receive the Darklist Pass Ordinal in your wallet once confirmed by the network

NOTE: Information on item loot and airdrop based on Gang Up results will be announced separately.

Lone Wolves

  • Step 2: Follow the instructions to register your character
  • Step 3: Use the command darklist in the terminal and follow the onscreen instructions 
  • Step 4: Follow the instructions in your wallet to mint on-chain and cover network fees
  • Step 5: Receive the Darklist Pass Ordinal in your wallet once confirmed by the network

If you have a Darklist Code from a collab manager

  • Step 2: Use the command /darklist in Discord and insert your Dnet code and your Darklist Code
  • Step 3: Go back to Dark City, login and use the command darklist in the terminal
  • Step 4: Follow the instructions in your wallet to mint on-chain and cover network fees
  • Step 5: Receive the Darklist Pass Ordinal in your wallet once confirmed by the network

Information on the minting process

  • Darklist Passes are limited to one per user.
  • The minting of Darklist Passes is free, meaning the minter only needs to cover network fees.
  • Network fees are dynamically calculated, so if you choose not to mint instantly, please restart the minting process.
  • All Darklist Passes are sent to the wallet with which the users registered their character profiles in Dark City.
  • Please wait for the collection announcement on major secondary marketplaces prior to buying, selling, or exchanging Darklist Passes. Failing to do so puts you at a significant risk of acquiring counterfeit items.
  • Attempting to mint using alternative methods will result in the banning of your Darklist Pass from the game. The minted pass will not be included in the official collection unless minted through Dark City’s official platform.
